Heroine a mural commissioned by the Elevate Arts Festival in Atlanta Georgia
Sponsored by Georgia Stand Up and The Mayors Department of Cultural Affairs

located at 888 Ralph David Abernathy Blvd Goodwill West End Atlanta, Georgia

This mural was painted in honor of the unsung civil and social rights activists in Atlanta Georgia's West End Community.  The women are featured from left to right Cleta Winslow, Janice Sykes Rogers, Abiodun Henderson, Ayana Gabriel, Hattie Gwinn Watkins, Pearl Cleage, Lottie Watkins, Irene Dobbs Jackson, Woody Persons, Arianna Sykes, and Kiyomi Rollins.  Each of these women have worked tirelessly in their respective fields to enrich develop and encourage growth in the people the encounter within the community.  Whether it be voter rights, education, entrepreneurship, business and real estate, gardening or serving as a voice of the community I was proud to be able to honor these women in a grand way.
